Security · Cabin liquids

Don't lose your £38 moisturiser at security.

Check airport liquid rules before you pack — including whether your return airport still uses the 100ml rule.

Some airports now allow larger liquids. Others still enforce 100ml. Liquid Limits tells you the strictest rule for your whole trip.

Why return flights can be different

The airport sets the rule

Your outbound airport may allow larger liquids, but your return airport may still enforce 100ml. Two flights, two rule sets.

Pack to the stricter rule

The safe move on a round trip is to pack to the stricter of the two airports. Otherwise the return is where things get confiscated.

Rules change without notice

Some airports rolled back 2L rules overnight. Always check both ends close to your travel date.

Trust and sources

How we source rules

LiquidLimits.com searches a global airport directory but only shows verified liquid-rule guidance where source data exists. Every rule page lists its source link and last-checked date.

  • • Global airport directory coverage
  • • Verified rule data with source links
  • • Last-checked dates on every airport page
  • • "Unknown" state when rules aren't confirmed

When in doubt, pack to 100ml

If we can't confirm a rule, we default to the stricter 100ml cabin-bag guidance. It's the side that doesn't end with your toiletries in a bin.
